Jokowi's Answer Asked By Cabinet Reshuffle: Yes, Just Wait

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) said all parties should just wait for the possibility of a reshuffle or reshuffle of the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet in early 2023.

"Yes, just wait," said Jokowi briefly at Tanah Abang Market, Central Jakarta, Monday, December 2.

When asked about the possibility of changing the position of political parties in the cabinet, Jokowi replied again, "Just wait,".

The cabinet re-shaking signal is not the first time that President Jokowi has delivered it.

At the end of last year, on December 23, 2022, when asked about the results of a survey from a survey agency regarding respondents' approval for a cabinet reshuffle, Jokowi answered that there was a possibility to change the position of minister. However, Jokowi did not mention the definite time for the cabinet reshuffle.

"Maybe. Yes later," said Jokowi at the Sukamahi Dam, Bogor, West Java, as reported by Antara.

President Jokowi has made three reforms to the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet for the 2019-2024 period. Jokowi carried out the first "Reshuffle" of the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet on December 23, 2020. At that time, there were six new ministers as ministers of health, minister of social affairs, minister of trade, minister of marine and fisheries, as well as minister of tourism and Creative Economy.

Then, the second "reshuffle" was carried out by Jokowi on April 28, 2021 by inaugurating two new ministers as ministers of education, culture, research and technology as well as minister of investment/head of BKPM. Then, the third "reshuffle" was carried out by Jokowi on June 15, 2022 by inaugurating a new figure for the position of minister of trade, minister of ATR/head of BPN, deputy minister of ATR/deputy head of BPN, deputy minister of Home Affairs, and deputy minister of manpower.
