Heavy Rain at the Beginning of the Year, 3 Roads in Jakarta Flooded
JAKARTA - The Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) noted that flood inundation occurred on three roads in North Jakarta, the result of moderate to heavy rains that hit the capital at the beginning of the year.
DKI Jakarta BPBD Head, Isnawa Adji, said that three areas of DKI Jakarta were inundated.
One of them is Jalan Muara Baru, Penjaringan Village, Penjaringan District, North Jakarta with a height of 20 cm.
"Then, Jalan Gaya Motor 1, Sungai Bambu Village, Tanjung Priok District, North Jakarta with a height of 35 cm", he said in a statement, Sunday, January 1.
Furthermore, Isnawa said, Jalan Gaya motor 2, Sungai Bambu Village, Tanjung Priok District, North Jakarta with a height of 55 cm.
Furthermore, Isnawa said, his party would continue to monitor the condition of inundation in each region.
As well as coordinating with elements from the Water Resources Service, the Bina Marga Service, and the Gulkarmat Service to suck up the puddles with the local village heads and sub-district heads.
"The inundation is targeted to recede quickly", he said.

Isnawa said the DKI BPBD also appealed to the public to remain careful and alert to the potential for inundation to occur.
"In an emergency, call 112 immediately. This service is free and operates 24 hours non-stop", concluded Isnawa.
