Easy Ways To Enable Dark Mode In Mastodon

JAKARTA - Mastodon's microblogging platform has recently become popular since Twitter was taken over by billionaire Elon Musk. Moreover, the interface and features are not much different, one of which is dark mode or dark mode.

Mastodon got a windfall where its users increased dramatically from 300 thousand last October and this month, skyrocketing to more than 8.5 million.

To be more comfortable surfing on Mastodon, users must use dark mode so that other people's uploads are easily seen.

Mastodon's dark mode can be used in apps for Android and iOS. Interestingly, dark mode is the default theme for Mastodon's web version. Unless you open the website and change the display settings to bright mode, Mastodon displays feed and all other information in the old gray theme.

No need to linger, here's how to activate dark mode on Mastodon.

1. Open Mastodon, click the settings icon in the upper right corner of the interface.

2. In the Look And Feel section, select Always Dark. This will soon change the appearance of the app.

3. This app also has a True black dark mode that may work better for some users.

"Although the Mastodon for the web follows a dark theme by default, if your theme is not like that, follow the steps below," quoted from Slashgear, Tuesday, December 27.

1. Open your Mastodon.

2. To the right, click on the Conferences tab.

3. Click Appearance on the left.

4. Select Site Theme to open the drop-down menu and select Mastodon (Dark).

5. Then, Save Changes at the top right.
