Regarding PDIP Asking Jokowi To Evaluate The Minister Of Environment And Forestry And The Minister Of Agriculture, Democrats: No Need To Show Political Agencies Price Presidential Prerogative Rights
JAKARTA - Deputy of Bappilu for the Democratic Party, Kamhar Lakumani, assessed that the PDI-P (PDIP) had intervened with President Joko Widodo to evaluate two ministers from the NasDem Party amid a signal that there would be a cabinet reshuffle before 2024.
This, Kamhar conveyed in response to the statement by the Chairman of the PDIP DPP Djarot Syaiful Hidayat who said the performance of the Minister of Environment and Forestry (LHK) Siti Nurbaya and the Minister of Agriculture (Mentan) Syahrul Yasin Limpo needed to be evaluated.
"It is seen as a form of political intervention that continues to coordinate the president, who has always been placed as a party official," said Deputy of Bappilu for the Democratic Party Kamhar Lakumani, Tuesday, December 27.
According to Kamhar, Djarot, who is also a member of Commission IV of the DPR, should obey the principles when talking about a cabinet reshuffle issue. This is because only President Jokowi has the prerogative to replace or remove ministers.
"The issue of political dynamics in the government coalition is please resolve it wisely, without the need to show the practice of political arrogance while still respecting the prerogative of the president," he stressed. Previously, PDIP DPP Chairman Djarot Syaiful Hidayat, asked President Jokowi to evaluate the Minister of Environment and Forestry and the Minister of Agriculture to respond to the possibility of cabinet reshuffle. According to Djarot, the change was a refresh in the cabinet to fully support the policies issued by President Jokowi.
"The Minister of Agriculture is evaluated, the Minister of Forestry is evaluated, as well as all ministers must also be evaluated, so what? So that there is fresh new blood, which can fully support Pak Jokowi's policy to fulfill campaign promises," Djarot told reporters in Jakarta, Friday, December 23.
Djarot then mentioned the import of rice in the midst of being echoed by rice self-sufficiency. In fact, said Djarot, during the harvest season and rice prices rose, instead of importing rice.
"We have spread the kingpin self-sufficiency in rice, we import rice when the price goes up, the government should intervene. During the harvest season and the price is good, we are even beaten by rice imports," said Djarot.
The former governor of DKI Jakarta also said that the policy would have an impact on farmers. Therefore, Commission IV of the DPR RI always conveys to see if there are any data between BPS, Ministry of Agriculture, Bulog and the data held by Bappenas, the National Food Agency.
"Try to open it and put it together, we don't need to import it, he said it's still enough. What's important for us is that the price of rice is stable, the farmers can make a profit. All of this needs to be evaluated," explained Djarot.
