The DKI Provincial Government Has Expressed Obstacles On The Exemption Of Ciliwung Normalization Projects
JAKARTA - Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta stepped on the gas to continue the Ciliwung River normalization project which had stalled in the era of former DKI Governor Anies Baswedan. The DKI Provincial Government is tasked with clearing land along the riverbanks, while normalization work is carried out by the Ministry of PUPR.
Head of the Land Technical Implementation Unit (UPT) of the DKI Jakarta Water Resources Service (SDA), Roedito, explained that there were obstacles experienced during the land acquisition process, one of which was land in Cawang Village.
Roedito revealed, there is a musala building in Gang Arus Cawang which cannot be acquired because it is above the waqf land.
"There are obstacles in the Cawang Arus Gang, only the prayer room (which has not been released) because the waqf land must be coordinated with the Ministry of Religion," said Roedito when contacted, Saturday, December 24.
Currently, land acquisition in Cawang has been running 98 percent or the equivalent of 13,182 square meters with a budget of Rp. 104 billion.
With these obstacles, there is still 2 percent of the land area with an area of about 260 square meters in Cawang that has not been carried out by land acquisition.
Then, in land acquisition in Rawajati Village, the obstacle found was that there were a number of lands that still needed land rights because they had the status of land under construction.
"For Rawajati, the obstacle is the basis for land rights, namely the land under construction. So, we, the Natural Resources Service, must coordinate with relevant agencies, including BPN, the police and the prosecutor's office," said Roedito.
So far, continued Roedito, the land acquisition process in Rawajati is still half of the target for field mapping. Exemption of the constrained land is still being carried out by file research.
For information, the normalization of the Ciliwung River is one of the flood control programs that was recently highlighted by President Joko Widodo. During the inauguration of the Ciawi Dam and Sukamahi Dam, Jokowi instructed the Acting Governor Heru to accelerate the river normalization process.
"If the normalization of 13 rivers in Jakarta is carried out, it will be very consistent. That's what I conveyed to the Governor of DKI so that it really continues," said Jokowi, Friday, December 23.
The former governor of DKI Jakarta also asked his staff to intensify other flood control programs, namely the construction of sodetan and the construction of a giant embankment in Jakarta Bay or Giant Sea Wall.
Meanwhile, in the construction of the Ciliwung Sodetan or giant culverts from Bidara Cina to the East Flood Canal (BKT), Jokowi hopes that the work can be completed in March 2023.
"Then the matter of sea water that enters the land, for the time being, I think the sea wall has been carried out. However, in the long term, the giant sea wall must also be calculated and start immediately," he said.
