Entering The 2022 Christmas Mass, The Police Implemented A Bomb Disposal Of Sterilization Of The Church In Tangerang City
TANGERANG - Tangerang City Metro Police deployed a bomb disposal team (jibom) to carry out sterilization in a number of churches in their jurisdiction ahead of the 2022 Christmas celebration service.
"Today we are carrying out several activities including carrying out sterilization activities carried out by the Jibom Polda Metro Jaya to ensure the special security in churches that will carry out Christmas services," said the Tangerang City Metro Police Chief, Kombes Zain Dwi Nugroho in the Santa Virgin Church area Maria Tak Bernoda, Tangerang City, Saturday, December 24.
Zain ensured that his party secured churches in Tengerang City until the 2022 Christmas celebration was over. A total of 1,338 Tangerang Metro Police personnel have been deployed in securing the 2022 Christmas and 2023 New Year.
"(Security-ed) It's clear until it's finished. Including tomorrow there will also be activities. Then on December 31 (December) we have all our activities safe," he said.
Furthermore, Zain appealed to the congregation undergoing the 2022 Christmas service not to park their vehicles in any place to prevent buildup in the area to church.
"We encourage the congregation to be orderly and urge them so far. We (also) urge them not to park in any place. Parking locations, including if for example on the side of the road, hinder other traffic flow," he said.
Meanwhile, Deputy Parish Council of the Holy Heart Church, Maria Tak Bernode, Michael Fadjar Tjiptadi expressed his gratitude to the joint apparatus for creating a conducive situation ahead of the 2022 Christmas Eve mass.
"We are grateful for the arrival of the police chief along with other officers. It is nice because it creates security so that our people can worship well. So the visit is a commitment for us to worship smoothly," he said.
