Jalan Ahead Of The Flood Mandalika Circuit, BPBD Down With A Seat Air Throws It Into Drainage
JAKARTA - High intensity rain caused flooding to inundate the road to the Mandalika Circuit, Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB). The Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) together with the community assisted by the TNI-Polri are struggling to overcome the puddles.
"We continue to carry out monitoring the development of the situation and condition of roads that are flooded due to the rain that flushed the Kuta Mandalika area," said Danramil Pujut, Captain Affifudin Nur in Praya, Lombok, NTB, Friday, December 23, confiscated by Antara.
He said heavy rains flushed the Kuta Mandalika area, Kuta Village, Pujut District, today, Friday, December 23. As a result, part of the bypass road in front of the Mandalika MotoGP Circuit or west of Pertamina was flooded with water as high as approximately 20 centimeters or above the eyes of an adult.
The main cause of the flood was due to the flow of rain water from the Damping Hamlet which was blocked by drainage which was higher than the road body west of the gas station, precisely in front of the Mandalika MotoGP Circuit.
"Until now, the northern lane of the road in front of the circuit with a length of approximately 100 meters is still flooded," he said.
He said members of the Central Lombok BPBD continued to work on overcoming flooding by suction of puddles to be channeled to the drainage channel south of the road in front of the Mandalika Circuit.
It is hoped that the flood can be overcome soon so that the activities of road users passing by using vehicles are not disrupted.
"Alhamdulillah, thanks to our cooperation in extracting and puddles have begun to recede," he said.
