Dwayne Johnson Calls Black Adam Not PART Of DC Comics Stories

JAKARTA - Dwayne Johnson announced Black Adam was not part of DC Comics' story. Through his social media, he claimed to have spoken with the new DC CEO, James Gunn.

"James Gunn and I have spoken and Black Adam will not be part of the first half of his story," Dwayne Johnson wrote on Tuesday, December 20.

"However, DC and Seven Bucks agreed to continue exploring the most valuable way that Black Adam can be used in the upcoming DC universe," he said.

He is not disappointed to actually support James Gunn's choice for DC's future. Johnson believes he already knows Gunn so he will always support his decision.

"There is no difference and I will always support DC (and Marvel) to win and succeed," added Dwayne Johnson.

"The decisions made by James and the DC directors represent their vision of DCU through their creative angle," he continued.

James Gunn released his own statement and appreciated Dwayne Johnson's writing. He hopes to bring Black Adam to the story even though he doesn't know when it can be realized.

"Love @TheRock and I've always been enthusiastic about what he and the Seven Bucks are doing. Can't wait to collaborate," said James Gunn.

Black Adam's first film took box office for three weeks when it was released this year for 300 million US dollars. Johnson also confirmed the achievement after hearing many netizens say the film failed in theaters.

Black Adam is not the only film affected by DC's new plan. Previously Wonder Woman and Superman also underwent a change in plans.

Patty Jenkins as the director revealed that Wonder Woman's third film plan was temporarily suspended while Henry Cavill canceled playing Superman.
