Indie Pop Era 2000s Ranah Exploration, Tokyolitering Single Anyar Radio Blues

JAKARTA - The band from Bogor, Tokyolite released a new single titled Radio Blues via RENZ Record. The band fronted by Stevan (vocals and guitar), Alex (bass), Rori (guitar), Bintang (drums), and Ben (keyboards) comes with a very fresh song.

If Tokyolite's songs are usually thick with pop anduk nuances, in this song Tokyolite actually explores the indie-pop realm of the 2000s with a blues spice that is quite smooth without shame.

This song written by Alex tells the story of a process of receiving and living a life that sometimes doesn't match what we want and believes that it's actually just us who can save ourselves, by not struggling with nostalgia.

"I actually wrote this song in 2015 and at first it was just for fun, when I wrote this song, I was quite intense listening to indie pop music like Belle and Sebastian, Sondre Lerche, Pizzicano Five," said Alex in an official Tokyolite statement received by the editorial desk.

"Initially I didn't think it was for Tokyolite, but Rori and Bintang forced this song to go further and finally, we sat together and tried to process together," he added.

"When I first heard this song, the vocal arrangement was a big challenge too because this is Alex's original song and the way he took the vocals is very different from me. We came to zoom in and called several times to try to find a way in the middle of his vocal arrangements so that it fits me. Luckily, the final result was that we were all satisfied," Stevan completed.

This song was worked on and produced by Tokyolite personnel. On its way, this song has been overhauled several times on an arrangement and lyrics.

"We got a lot of knowledge after some time ago working with other producers, and now we are trying to apply the knowledge we got through this single," Ben explained.

Radio Blues also marks the beginning of several series of subsequent singles that Tokyolite will release in the near future. This song can be heard on all digital music channels.
