Summer Fighters Again Held In Bali For A Muay Thai Athlete Print

JAKARTA - The Summer Fighters free fight match will be held again in Bali today, Sunday, to support the government in scoring outstanding Muay Thai athletes at the national and world levels.

Therefore, the fourth Summer Fighters in 2022 will feature matches of 10-year-old and 13-year-old young fighters in order to show the public and stakeholders of Indonesia's future Muay Thai athletes.

"For that match, why are there children aged 10 years and 13 years, the goal is to find future fighters (future athletes) in Indonesia, because from the seeds of their age, this is what represents Indonesia later for international matches," said Summer Fighters promoter Marcos Manurung during a press conference at the match location at the International Conference Center (ICC), Kuta, Badung, Bali, Saturday.

Marcos assessed that Summer Fight could be an opportunity to hone the abilities of these young fighters so that they can grow up to be athletes who have a lot of competitive experience.

"So, we started their seeds, from the time they started this year so that when they became teenagers and adults, they had a good career in the Muay Thai industry," Marcos said, quoting Antara, Sunday.

However, the main focus of the Summer Fighters this time is the struggle for the championship belt in the middleweight, lightweight, and welterweight categories. The Summer Fight championship belt contested by the professional fighters has been recognized by the Indonesian Professional Muaythai (MPI).

This means that champion belt holders can be challenged and challenged by other professional fighters in national, regional and international level matches.

For the middleweight category, Serieal Effendy, a professional fighter from Kinantan Factory Jakarta, will face Team Robert's Raymond. Meanwhile, in the welterweight category, professional fighter Rahman Husin of Beat Up Camp will face Maruli from Dee Muay Thai.

Lastly in the lightweight category, professional fighter Brandon from Beat Up Camp will face Fahri from Bali MMA.

In a pro match, professional fighter Arismawan from Reborn Camp will also face Jemito from Dee Muay Thai.

Then in the semi-pro class, Summer Fighters will also feature a women's fighter match, namely the Winner from Bali MMA against Sri from Twinflame. In the semi-pro class, Ashish from Bali MMA will also face Mbas in the lightweight category, then Edsar from Ubud Muay Thai against Gata from Boa Muaythai for the welterweight category.

Lastly in the beginner category, Summer Fighters also featured 1013-year-old fighters, namely Gede from Tohlangir Muaythai against Rapahel from Dee Muay Thai.

The first match of Summer Fighters will take place Sunday starting at 16.00 WITA and ending at night.
