Goodbye Death Free Kick Owner, Sinisa Mihajlovic
Sinisa Mihajlovic has died after a long struggle against her. The Serbian coach is 53 years old.
The news of Mihajlovic's death was announced by Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano through his social media accounts.
"It's terrible and shocking news. Sinisa Mihajlovi died at the age of 53 after a long fight against her," Romano wrote of the sad news.
"I respect this disease, I will deal with it, with chests rising, looking into his eyes, as I always did," Romano wrote, imitating Sinisa Mihajlovic's words many years ago.
"He never gave up. He was always a fighter, a great and respected man. RIP, Sinisa all thoughts with family."
Mihajlovic is known for his deadly free-kick. The legendary goalkeeper like Angelo Peruzzi (Juventus, Inter Milan) admitted that he could not sleep if his team was going to face the team that Mihajlovic defended, whether while dressed in Rome, Sampdoria or Lazio.
Since retiring from the gridiron, Mihajlovic has firmly started his career as a coach. Sampdoria, Fiorentina, Torino, AC Milan, and Bologna are some of the clubs he has handled.
On July 13, 2019, Mihajlovic publicly announced in a press conference that he had been diagnosed with acute media. In September 2022, Bologna fired Mihajlovic for only being able to get three points in the first five matches of Serie A.
Now, the owner of the deadly free-kick is gone forever. Goodbye Mihajlovic.
