Kunto Aji Calls 2022 A Heavy Year, This Is The Reason

JAKARTA - The male solo singer from Yogyakarta, Kunto Aji, called 2022 a tough year for him. Not having trouble as a musician, as a personal person, Kunto also had to experience an unpleasant incident this year.

In 2022, Kunto had to lose two of her closest people who died. "This year is very hard for me personally, because I lost my father and my brother. In the distance that I feel sorry for this year," said Kunto Aji when met by media crews in the Gambir area, Central Jakarta, Thursday, December 15.

However, this year, the man who graduated from the Indonesian Idol talent search event got a baby. "Even though thank God I was given a new word, but it had to start an incident like that, so it was a mix feeling. But it's amazing this year, it's amazing," he continued.

For his music career, Kunto also went through a steep path. Due to uncertain conditions, the concert tour planned for this year had to be postponed. "There are some plans that I should have toured this year but it turns out that it has to be postponed next year. God willing, bismillah we can prepare for the tour, but we don't know that," he said.

Kunto feels that the current situation is still not stable for Indonesian music. "Actually, it's all wrong, friends themselves also know that the conditions are going up and down, whether it's a case of covid or licensing for crowds and all kinds of things. We musicians must support the government so that we can overcome the spread of the covid virus and we were rich yesterday in the Kanjuruhan tragedy. We don't want such great enthusiasm to actually make a disaster," he said.

He also once felt that his music career had to be hampered and walking on the spot. Kanya said earlier, this year it's not just a matter of touring. There is also a desire to cancel the gig, the tour is also canceled. It also interferes with the process of me writing a song, so it's stuck, because it's a thought. But now it's ready. God willing, it's ready," said Kunto Aji.
