Because Of AC Outdoor, The Ministry Of Home Affairs Building In Gambir Is Almost Burned

A fire broke out in one of the buildings in the office of the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri), Jalan Veteran II, Gambir District, Central Jakarta, Thursday afternoon, December 15.

Dozens of fire engines were dispatched to the location to extinguish the fire. According to firefighters, the fire came from the outdoor air conditioner and lasted for about 10 minutes.

The fire was allegedly caused by an electrical short circuit. However, after the blackout process was carried out by 40 officers from the Central Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept., at around 16.25 WIB, the fire was extinguished.

Head of Central Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept. Asril Rizal confirmed the fire.

"It's just an outdoor air conditioner. It's out, we'll check," he said briefly when confirmed by VOI, Thursday, December 15.
