The Salaries Of DKI Provincial Government Employees Are High, KPK: We Get Information There Are Still Those Who Are Looking For Additional Income

Deputy Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Alexander Marwata highlighted the nominal amount of income consisting of salaries, allowances, and additional employee income (TPP) for DKI Jakarta Provincial Government civil servants.

In fact, Alexander said, there was a director-general in a ministry who was jealous because his income was smaller than that of a head of service in the DKI Provincial Government.

He conveyed this in a coordination meeting on corruption prevention with the Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono and the ranks of the DKI Provincial Government.

"In the DKI Provincial Government, the welfare level, the income rate is far above the average. In fact, there is one director general at the ministry, he is jealous of the income of the head of the office at the DKI Provincial Government," said Alexander at DKI Jakarta City Hall, Thursday, December 15.

Therefore, Alexander asked all levels of DKI Provincial Government employees who have received large income to be able to compensate for it with good performance.

This is because Alexander received information that there are DKI Provincial Government officials who are still trying to find additional income in the government's procurement of goods and services (PJB) in their respective work units.

"We still often hear and get information that there are still those who are trying to get additional income, especially in the PBJ process. Please, the Inspectorate of DKI Jakarta, Pak Syaefulloh is a concern," said Alexander.

In addition, the point prone to regional budget leakage other than PJB highlighted by Alexander is the building licensing process proposed by the community and developers. Conditions that harm regional income, according to Alexander, are still common.

"Regarding the licensing in the DKI Provincial Government, I think it's every step, how come there is a value of the money. Suddenly why was it built that exceeded the permit. They prefer to pay fines," explained Alexander.

"Actually, licensing is in the context of controlling. When anyone or developers build more than they are given and we close their eyes, they only pay fines, it means nothing," he added.
