Ten Hag Supports The Decree Of The Glazer Family To Sell MU: More Money Will Be Available

JAKARTA - The Glazer family has announced that they will sell Manchester United. This decision turned out to have the support of manager Erik ten Hag.

He considered that the sale of MU by the Glazer family would have a positive impact on the club. According to him, the large number of investments could make the club grow.

"There will be more investment that might be good," Ten Hag said, as quoted by Stats Perform.

Ten Hag admitted that he had spoken to CEO Richard Arnold about the culture they wanted to realize in the Red Devils. According to him, there will be no change even though there will be new owners.

"We talked about goals, goals and culture, and he made sure it wouldn't change. This would be better because more money would be available for this project," said Ten Hag.

The Dutchman believes an increase in financial capacity is needed as Manchester United wants to return to the top flight of English football, having lifted just three Premier League trophies since Alex Ferguson retired in 2013.

"There are changes in the situation when you compare (the current Premier League) with five or 10 years ago," said Ten Hag.

"You can quickly count seven or eight clubs that can compete in this league. It's also about strategy, not just money. But it's clear that when you don't have the right and quality players, you won't succeed and achieve the targets you set."

Apart from Manchester United, Liverpool are also reportedly starting to seek additional funding injections from new investors. Meanwhile Chelsea already has a new owner after Roman Abramovich's fall as a result of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
