Minister Sandiaga Uno Invited The Pokemon Team To Collaborate On The Development Of Super Priority Tourism Destinations

JAKARTA - Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf), Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno invited the Pokemon team to collaborate to develop super priority tourist destinations in Indonesia.

Sandiaga Uno said the Pokemon Festival is a promising part of the creative economy, moreover, Indonesia is currently ranked 16th in the world game market.

"Therefore, maybe later the Pokemon Festival can be presented in 5 super priority destinations, including Bali," said Sandiaga Uno, Friday, December 9.

Sandi referred to five super priority destinations, namely Lake Toba in North Sumatra, Borobudur Temple in Central Java, Mandalika in West Nusa Tenggara, Labuan Bajo in East Nusa Tenggara, and Likupang in North Sulawesi.

Furthermore, Sandiaga Uno also appreciated the development of Pok\'emon which could become a pop culture, even though at the beginning of the emergence of Pok\'emon only as Nintendo's game in 1996.

Slowly but surely, Pokeemon then developed until it finally became a merchandise product. Sandiaga Uno also assessed that Pokeemon could be one of the factors that could affect Indonesian tourism.
