Joint Officers Still Looking For An 11-year-old Child With Special Needs Who Was Dragged By The River In Cakung
JAKARTA - East Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept. Rescue Officer and SAR Team are still searching for an 11-year-old boy with the initials D who was swept away by the river currents in Pedaengan Village, Penggilingan Village, Cakung District, East Jakarta, Friday, December 9.
"The victim has not been found, is still being searched. The victim is a child with special needs," said Head of the East Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept., Gatot Sulaeman, Friday, December 9.
A total of 16 joint officers were deployed to search for the whereabouts of the victims. The sweeping was carried out along the river using rubber boats and sweeping along the riverbanks.
"We are still combing the location of the river flow which is suspected to be the location where the victim was swept away," he said.
Previously, it was reported that a minor was missing and drowned in the current of Kali in Pedaengan Village, RT 015/08, Milling Village, Cakung District, East Jakarta, Thursday, December 8, afternoon.
The victim, known as Danu (11), was reported missing at around 17.25 WIB. The victim was wearing a blue shirt.
"According to witness testimony, the last victim was seen near the taxi pool. The search is still being carried out by 5 rescue personnel from the East Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept.," said Head of East Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept. Gatot Sulaeman, Thursday, December 8.
The incident occurred when there was heavy rain. The victim was playing on the side of the river, then slipped and fell into the river.
