Regarding The Results Of The Formula E Investigation, The KPK: We Tell You In Time
The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) said the investigation into alleged corruption in the implementation of Formula E in Jakarta continues. The KPK ensures that any developments will be made public.
"If the problem progresses, we will tell you in due course, but not now," said KPK Chairman Firli Bahuri in a KPK RI YouTube broadcast, Friday, December 9.
Firli ensured that the investigation would not be affected by anything. Moreover, Law Number 19 of 2019 states that the KPK should not be disturbed by any principles.
"That the investigation of Formula E continues, it is never disturbed because in principle the work of the KPK is never disturbed by any power. It is the law to mention it," he said.
In addition, the anti-corruption commission also ensured that it would not arbitrarily determine the suspect in the allegation. The KPK certainly already has evidence before establishing someone as a litigant.
"So the KPK has never targeted someone to be a suspect. Nothing. That must be ensured," said Firli.
The KPK previously investigated allegations of corruption in the Formula E racing event in DKI Jakarta. Several parties have been summoned, one of which is Anies Baswedan on Wednesday, September 7.
After the summons, news circulated that Anies would be named a suspect. This step was accused of tackling him in the 2024 Presidential Election (Pilpres).
Apart from Anies, a number of parties have also been summoned for wisdom. One of them, the Chairman of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Prasetyo Edy Marsudi, admitted that he explained about the loan of Rp180 billion by the DKI Jakarta Dispora to pay the commitment fee to Formula E Operations (FEO).
