Apindo Calls The Suicide Bomb At The Astanaanyar Police No Impact On The Business World

JAKARTA - Chairman of the Indonesian Employers' Association (Apindo) Hariyadi Sukamdani said that the suicide bombing at the Astanaanyar Police, Bandung, West Java, on Wednesday, December 7, none of the impacts felt by the businessmen.

Even today, said Hariyadi, buying and selling activities in Bandung are running normally.

"The condition (business world) in Bandung is conducive, not affected by the bomb impact," Hariyadi told VOI, Wednesday, December 7.

Hariyadi added that the explosion was not the first time this had happened. Because, even in previous years, Bandung had experienced the same thing.

"So far it has no effect. (The number of buyers) is the same," he said.

National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo said the suicide bomber at the Astanaanyar Police Headquarters was a recidivist in the Cicindo pot bomb case, West Java.

In the suicide bombing incident at the Astanaanyar Police Headquarters, the perpetrator was Agus Sujatno or Agus Muslim, a former convict of the Cicindo pot bomb case, West Java in 2017.

Agus was detained for 4 years in Nusakambangan and released in October 2021.

The National Police Chief added that Agus was one of the former prisoners who was difficult to deradicalize so that his status was still red'.

"After being released from Nusakambangan, the police have investigated it. The perpetrators are also affiliated with the JAD (Jamaah Ansharut Daulah) Bandung or West Java network," said Listyo Sigit.
