Regarding Import Of Refined Sugar, Trade Minister Zulhas: The Permit Does Not Yet Exist
JAKARTA - Minister of Trade (Mendag) Zulkifli Hasan emphasized that there has been no sugar import permit.
This statement also answers complaints from the food and beverage industry regarding the supply of refined crystal sugar or GKR which is running low.
Furthermore, Zulhas, as Zulkifli Hasan is familiarly called, said sugar imports were regulated into the commodity balance. Until now, he said, there has been no import permit.
"If there is no import of sugar and commodity balance. There is no import permit yet, the letter is also not available," he told reporters, Wednesday, December 7. Zulhas said, related to the balance sheet of this commodity, the Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto will directly lead the Coordinating Minister for the Economy.
"What is shown is through the commodity balance, led by the Coordinating Minister. Next year I will not take care of food anymore, there is already a Presidential Decree," he said.
