Police Died Of Bombing At The Astanaanyar Police, Given Compensation LPSK
BANDUNG - The Witness and Victim Protection Agency (LPSK) handed over compensation worth Rp. 15 million to Agus Sofyan's family, a police officer who died as a result of a suicide bombing at the Astanaanyar Police, Bandung City, West Java, on Wednesday, December 7 morning.
"LPSK handed over compensation to the family of the late Aiptu Agus Sofyan which was received directly by the deceased's wife," said LPSK Deputy Chairman Edwin Partogi Pasaribu via text message, Wednesday, December 7.
Edwin handed over the compensation directly to the victim's family in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) room at Immanuel Hospital, Bandung, West Java.
Edwin said that until now the data obtained by LPSK victims who died as a result of the suicide bombing at the Astanaanyar Police Station amounted to one person, and several other injured. "Yes, one person died," said Edwin, quoted by Antara.
He said that currently there are still three injured victims who are still being treated at Immanuel Hospital, Bandung. Meanwhile, the other two victims have been allowed to go home.
Edwin said that after receiving information about the suicide bombing incident at the Astanaanyar Police, he went straight to Bandung to meet the victims.
"The presence of the LPSK is part of the responsibility of the state through the LPSK based on the Law on Terrorism. The state is obliged to provide protection shortly after the terrorism incident to the victims, he explained.
West Java Regional Police Chief Inspector General Suntana said there were 11 people who were victims of the suicide bombing at the Astanaanyar Sector Police Headquarters, Bandung City, West Java.
Of the 11 people, 10 were police officers and one civilian was passing around the scene. Meanwhile, the suicide bomber was confirmed dead at the scene.
