Blacklist Legal Umbrellas Directors Of SOEs Will Be Crowded Next Year
JAKARTA - The Ministry of SOEs is discussing the legal umbrella regarding blacklists or blacklists of SOE directors who are stumbling over corruption cases.
Later, directors who are named suspects or who do not have performance capabilities will not be able to enter any state-owned company.
Special Staff to the Minister of SOEs Arya Sinulingga revealed that this rule is targeted to be completed next year. So that the blacklist can apply as soon as possible.
"So first for the regulation, Mr. Erick spoke yesterday at the DPR (simproving ministerial regulations), including the blacklist concept," Arya told reporters at the Ministry of SOEs Building, Tuesday, December 6.
"Next year (the rules are set to be completed), hurry up. Pak Erick wants to hurry up," he continued.
Regarding the Director of Operations II of PT Waskita Karya (Persero) Tbk Bambang Riyanto or BR who was named a corruption suspect, Arya said that BR was confirmed to be blacklisted by the BUMN.
"An arrangement is being made again. Waskita's directors must have entered," he said.
Arya explained that the purpose of this blacklist is to prevent rogue directors from entering any state-owned company again.
"Indeed, that's why it was made, Mr. Erick Thohir's step, blackwitness is a step so that sometimes the directors are dismissed and will change changes in the government or the ministry can enter again," he said.
"With this blacklist he can't be re-entered as a director whenever, so far, he's been silenced. If this has to be clear why he was dismissed, (for example) because of a mistake, then he will be blacklisted so he won't be able to become a director and commissioner anymore," he continued. President Erick Thohir said that he would apply the blacklist concept to officials of problematic state-owned companies.
The list will be a reference for banning former corruptors and those who do not have the ability to lead the company to become directors of state-owned companies.
"There is a concept of blacklist rather than BUMN elements not only based on legal cases. But their performance when they are in this company, then moving here turns out to continue to deteriorate. It means they are not capable," he said in a meeting with Commission VI, written Tuesday, December 6.
Erick said that only the president could revoke the names that were blacklisted by the problematic SOE directors. The goal is to have a good mechanism in Indonesia.
"And I have conveyed that time to the President and Mrs. Sri Mulyani, who can revoke this blacklist, Mr. President, not me," he said.
"If I (the one who withdraw) becomes political. Because if I don't like it, I just enter it. After all, I am alone. It's not. But it's like the TPA that the president is elected, whoever the president is. So let there be something good mechanism in us," he continued.
