Synergy With The Provincial Government, Bank Indonesia Awakens The Economy Of East Kalimantan Through Creative Economy Development
SAMARINDA - Bank Indonesia, East Kalimantan Province (BI Kaltim) in collaboration with the East Kalimantan Regional Government in the last three years to develop tourism and the creative economy (parekraf), in order to grow and revive the economy in this province.
"Regarding tourism development, BI Kaltim also provided assistance with synergy and coordination with the East Kalimantan Provincial Tourism Office," said Head of BI Representative Office (KPw) of East Kalimantan Province Ricky Perdana Gozali as quoted by Antara, Sunday, December 4.
Activities carried out over the last three years include carrying out multi-year programs in strengthening human resources, strengthening institutions and business, micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the tourism sector in Derawan Islands, Berau Regency.
Meanwhile, to encourage competitive MSME performance, BI Kaltim has also implemented various programs through synergies with several parties and related agencies.
Synergy is carried out for the development of MSMEs at every level, ranging from subsistent, advanced, digital, and MSME levels to export markets.
To encourage MSMEs to be able to penetrate the export market, he continued, BI Kaltim in collaboration with the Surabaya Export Center has carried out MSME training and assistance through the 2022 Export Kaltimpreneurs program.
In this program, said Ricky, his party has even succeeded in fostering 132 MSMEs spread across a number of areas in East Kalimantan, and they have transactions reaching IDR 5.7 billion.
Meanwhile, the development of Go Digital MSMEs also continues to strengthen, namely through regular training programs related to online marketing and financial recording through the SI-APIK application.
This year, BI Kaltim also focuses on encouraging the development of the fashion industry, especially East Kalimantan batik through international designer assistance, so that East Kalimantan is projected to have quality products and can penetrate the national market and global market.
"We also continue to encourage the development of the sharia economy, among others, through the Kaltim Sharia Festival as an educational medium, in order to increase the knowledge and capacity of sharia economic actors in East Kalimantan," said Ricky.
