The Heroic Story Of A Bluebird Taxi Driver Helping The Baby Delivery In Medan

It is known that the video uploaded on the Instagram account @taukotembung on November 30 shows a taxi passenger who was forced to give birth while on his way to the hospital.

Suddenly the incident that took place at Jalan Beringin, Pasar 7 Tembung, Medan City, North Sumatra (North Sumatra) made local residents excited. This was certainly an unforgettable experience for Dedi Ari Adi, the Bluebird taxi driver who carried the passenger.

"I didn't expect it, because after sunset that night, I received an order to carry three passengers consisting of a father, mother and two year old daughter. All of them sat in the back seat," said Dedi in a Bluebird press statement received by VOI, Wednesday, December 16. .

During the trip for about 37 minutes, he did not realize that the mother was pregnant. Where the trip to Jalan Tembung Pasar Lima is a birthing clinic.

However, due to the traffic jam situation, Dedi was not sure he could get the passengers to the clinic on time. So he suggested looking for the nearest hospital.

"The mother apparently experienced unbearable contractions and was forced to give birth to the baby in the car. I immediately took the initiative to find the nearest clinic to be treated immediately, where she stopped at a pharmacy that was initially mistaken for a clinic," he said.

"When the baby's father ran to the pharmacy, I immediately sought help from local residents to go to the birthing clinic in Tambung Pasar Lama," he added.

Assisted by local residents, Dedi drove the taxi he was driving to deliver the mother and baby to get further treatment at the birthing clinic. When he arrived at the clinic, he immediately took his mother and took her to the baby in a taxi.

"It's a relief to hear that the mother and baby girl are in good health. Didn't imagine the birth process in the taxi.
