Earthquake Assistance Of Rp7.9 Billion Liquid, Selayar Regent Asks Residents To Also Watch Distribution
JAKARTA - Assistance worth IDR 7.9 billion for victims affected by the 7.4 magnitude earthquake in Selayar a few years ago has been disbursed. Selayar Regent Basli Ali asked the public to participate in monitoring the distribution.
The Regent of Basli Ali, through a statement in Makassar, South Sulawesi, Friday, December 2, said that the aid funds for earthquake victims in the category of heavily damaged houses had been disbursed and had been included in the account of the Selayar Islands Regency Government.
"This assistance for victims comes from the state budget through BNPB, which has been awaited by the public for a long time, thank God, last November 30 it was disbursed and is already in the Selayar Regional Government's account," he said.
He hopes that all parties, including the community, will generally be involved in overseeing the entire process of distributing BNPB assistance of Rp7.9 billion, which is specifically for 159 families of earthquake victims in the area.
"For people who will feel disadvantaged or see that there is inequality in the process and procedure for distributing aid, they can immediately report it," he said.
Regarding distribution, he ensures that he will immediately implement it considering that this assistance has been awaited by people affected by the natural disaster for a long time.
"God willing, the distribution process will be carried out immediately, and of course supervision will be carried out," he said.
In order to be right on target and avoid misappropriation in the distribution process, he said, in addition to monitoring, a complaint post will also be opened. Basli reminded officials regarding the distribution of aid must carry out these tasks according to procedures and regulations.
