BRI Acquisition Of Danareksa Investment Management

JAKARTA - BRI and Danareksa signed a deed of sale and purchase of shares in the context of purchasing shares of Danareksa Investment Management (DIM) from Danareksa with a total share of 9 million shares or equivalent to 30 percent of DIM's total shares.

Thus, BRI's current ownership in DIM is 65 percent.

Present at the event were BRI President Director Sunarso, Danareksa President Director Arisudono and DIM President Director Marsangap P Tamba.

Sunarso mengungkapkan, tujuan aksi korporasi yang dilakukan BRI ini sejalan dengan visi perseroan menjadi The Most Valuable Banking Group in South East Asia and Champion of Financial Inclusion pada tahun 2025, dimana BRI berencana menjadi perusahaan jasa keuangan terintegrasi dengan salah satu upayanya adalah optimalisasi jasa manajemen investasi pada ekosistem BRI melalui Danareksa Investment Management (DIM).

"In the future, the development of DIM will be more focused on the retail segment in line with BRI's strategy, namely Go Smaller by providing complete and integrated financial services solutions for BRI Group customers," he told the media, Friday, December 2.

"In addition, this segment is expected to be the focus of DIM to grow sustainably and increase profitability," continued Sunarso.

The President Director of Danareksa Marsangap stated that DIM is ready to focus on the retail segment, of course, with the support of the BRI Group.

The Investment Manager Industry in Indonesia is projected to continue to grow in the next five years with a projected growth of 10 percent of CAGR 2021-2026, with the market reaching IDR 934 trillion in 2026.

BRI's subsidiary company that is part of the BRI Group is used for three main functions.

The first is for diversification income, the second is for spreading risk, and the third is to strengthen BRI customer base.

On the other hand, strengthening business and non-business synergies between BRI and children's companies and among Children's Companies will continue to be encouraged to increase the cross-celling of BRI Group products, sharing resources, and exploration of new investment opportunities.

BRI will continue to encourage Subsidiary Companies to increase their profit contribution to BRI Group through revenue outcome and cost efficiency by optimizing BRI Group synergy, and supported by product digitization and business processes.

In the future, BRI's subsidiary will be one of the main contributors to BRI's profit and percentage will continue to increase its contribution.

Through this corporate action, BRI currently has 10 subsidiary companies that are members of the BRI Group, including Pegadaian, PNM, BRI Life, BRI Insurance, BRI Finance, BRI Ventures, BRI Danareksa Sekuritas, Bank Raya, BRI Remittance and DIM.

"By joining DIM, BRI hopes that all Child Companies can make a positive contribution and become BRI's future growth enablers," concluded Sunarso.
