During The Central Lombok Kejari Evidence Warehouse, The Attorney General Asked For Special Crime Cases To Be Prioritized

NTB - Attorney General Sanitiar Burhanuddin conducted a surprise inspection (sidak) of the evidence storage warehouse at the Central Lombok District Attorney's Office, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), Monday, November 28.

On this occasion, the Attorney General asked the ranks of the Central Lombok Kejari to prioritize the handling of special criminal cases because it would have an impact on budget absorption. This was conveyed by the spokesperson for the NTB Attorney General's Office, Efrien Saputera.

"The institution's electence can be seen when prosecutors can raise cases that have an impact on the wider community such as scarcity of cooking oil, fertilizers and basic needs of the community," he said in a statement, Monday, November 28, as reported by Antara.

The trial conducted by the Attorney General was carried out with a group of officials from the Attorney General's Office and the NTB High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati). According to the Attorney General, said Efrien, the evidence storage warehouse at the Central Lombok Kejari is quite representative, closed, and separate from the office.

"All the evidence seen by the Attorney General is well labeled, and the administration of the storage of evidence is also neatly arranged," he added.

The Attorney General also reminded the prosecutor to immediately execute evidence from cases that have permanent legal force.

"The execution is asked to be rushed so that the evidence from the case that has permanent legal force does not become damaged," he said.

The Attorney General, said Efrien, also reminded the prosecutor to record every receipt of evidence in detail. Regular checks must also be carried out.

"If there are dangerous, flammable, and exploding items, they can be destroyed before being brought to court," he said.

The Attorney General and his entourage carried out inspections at the Central Lombok Kejari for a working visit in 2022 to NTB.

The activity also accompanied the Head of the NTB Attorney General's Office, the Head of the Civil Service Bureau, the Head of the General Bureau, the Head of the General Information Center, the Attorney General's Special Assistant, and the Attorney General's Assistant General.
