Carry Helicopters And Drones, The Police For The Comb Of The Three Insulating Villages For The Evacuation Of Earthquake Victims Of Cianjur
JAKARTA - In an effort to help evacuate the search for victims of the Cianjur earthquake in an isolated area, Brimob Polri deployed a team of ICI Bid drones to detect remote areas that were hit by the disaster.
The Coordinator of the Vertical Rescue SAR Team for the Brimob Corps, Kombes Rantau Isnur Eka, explained that the special team had been equipped with a number of drones used to search and detect possible evacuation locations for residents who had not been able to penetrate two-wheeled and four-wheeled vehicles.
Rantau said that if the team found the location of the residents' evacuation, the team would immediately report it to the Brimob Command Post or the West Java Regional Police Main Command Post to be followed up by rescuing residents.
"So we sent this small team using a helicopter transport device from Polairud where the Brimob drone team has also brought drone equipment to look for possible shelters from residents," said Kombes Rantau in a statement released on Sunday, November 27.
Kombes Rantau is optimistic that the team can provide a variety of more accurate information in the search process. The reason is, the use of helicopters and drones can be more efficient and effective in finding shelters for residents.
As for the data from the report received by the Brimob Satlat SAR Team, from 37 isolated locations as of Sunday 27 November, there are three locations left, namely Kadu Gede Village, Pasir Manggu, and Tunagan Market.
According to Kombes Rantau, the drone team will continue to look for evacuation locations for isolated residents for the next week facilitated by Polairud.
"We have brought provisions for 6 days of travel," he said.
In addition, Kombes Rantau will also seek information about the village of the isolated victims of the Cianjur earthquake, either through oral information from local residents or information circulating on mass media and social media.
