LPEI Salurkan Bantuan Untuk Korban Bencana Gempa Cianjur
JAKARTA - The Indonesian Export Financing Agency (LPEI) or Indonesia Eximbank has distributed humanitarian assistance to victims of the Cianjur earthquake in the form of food donations, tents, medicines, and cash.
LPEI Executive Director Riyani Tirtoso said that the distribution of this assistance is a tangible manifestation of the corporate social responsibility of LPEI to the community and the surrounding environment.
We are sorry for the natural disaster that has occurred. The assistance provided is expected to reduce the difficulties currently being experienced by the people of Cianjur. Hopefully, the affected people will be given sincerity and fortitude to deal with this disaster," he said in a press statement quoted on Friday, November 25.
According to Riyani, his party took the initiative to work together to prepare aid posts in the most affected areas in Tegalega Village in Cianjur District, Cianjur Regency, West Java. Meanwhile, logistical assistance distributed, among others, consists of foodstuffs, medicines, personal hygiene equipment, and baby equipment.
"We have handed over a number of logistics that were distributed to 242 heads of families or around 910 affected residents," he said.
As the special mission vehicle of the Ministry of Finance, LPEI is said to have also reached out to the community as a form of moral responsibility and concern in order to support the government in mitigating the impacts caused by the disaster that hit.
Riyani assessed that this responsibility will continue to be carried out with a full commitment to assist in the fast action of disaster and humanity response as an effort to accelerate the improvement of community and environmental conditions.
"Through this social assistance, it is hoped that the basic needs of the community in locations affected by the earthquake can be met and reduce the burden faced by the community," he concluded.
