YOGYAKARTA Some people may be curious about Penny K. Lukito's biodata, considering that she was the most highlighted person when cases of acute kidney failure in children surfaced in the country.

Penny K. Lukito was born in Jakarta on November 9, 1963. He was appointed by President Jokowi as Head of BPOM since June 20, 2016. Penny is the first Head of the POM to be directly inaugurated by the President of the Republic of Indonesia.
Before being appointed as Head of BPOM, Penny was a State Civil Apparatus (ASN) for the Main Planning Department of National Development Planning / BAPPENAS for the Presidential Special Envoy of the Republic of Indonesia for the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) for the 2013-2016 period.

After obtaining an Environmental Engineering degree from the Bandung Institute of Technology, Penny continued her studies at the Massachusetts Institute of Techonology (MIT), Cambridge, Massachusetts, United States and earned a Master in City Planning (MCP) degree.
It didn't stop there, Penny also managed to get a doctoral degree with Major for Environmental Engineering, and Minor at Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
