Realize Sustainable Development, PLN Achieves 19 Awards At The 2022 ISDA Ajang
JAKARTA PT PLN (Persero) is committed to realizing sustainable development with various programs that have been implemented.
This commitment and concrete step led to the company being awarded 19 awards at the 2022 Indonesian SDGs Award (ISDA).
ISDA 2022 is a awarding event given to companies or institutions for its contribution to the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) or Sustainable Development Goals.
This ISDA Awards is organized by the Corporate Forum for CSR Development, namely a company association that is active in the discourse and progress of corporate social responsibility (CSR) and sustainability in Indonesia.
At this event, PLN President Director Darmawan Prasodjo was awarded the Top Leadership Corporate for SDGs. In addition, PLN also won several other categories, including The Most Committed Corporate for SDGs on Social Phillar, The Most Committed Corporate for SDGs on Economy Phillar, The Most Committed Corporate for SDGs on Environment Phillar, and others.
In his remarks, the Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia, Ma'ruf Amin said, sustainable development is one of the government's concerns in realizing gold Indonesia in 2045.
It takes the role of all parties, both from private companies and State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) to help promote and carry out sustainable development.
Therefore, the government welcomes the implementation of ISDA in 2022 as a form of appreciation to all parties who are concerned about sustainable development.
The Vice President hopes that this award can be a trigger for companies to compete in running the CSR program and focus on developing efficacy.
"I congratulate the recipients of the 2022 ISDA Award for all categories. Hopefully this achievement will continue consistently and successfully towards the sustainability of business excellence," said the Vice President.
PLN President Director Darmawan Prasodjo said PLN would continue to be committed to contributing to the economy, improving Human Resources (HR) to the preservation of the Indonesian environment.
Through the Social and Environmental Responsibility Program (TJSL), PLN focuses on the field of education as a social pillar, and the development of Micro, Small Enterprises (UMK) to support economic pillars and environmental conservation.
So that every TJSL PLN program is expected to create a Creating Share Value (CSV) that provides benefits or added value to companies, the community and the environment.
The goal is to provide a better future for future generations.
Therefore, PLN welcomes the awards obtained today. Darmawan hopes that this appreciation can be an inspiration for other parties to be more concerned about sustainable development.
"This award is a whip for us that we are part of the power so that this country in the future will be more prosperous," said Darmawan.
As of October 2022, PLN has implemented 2,537 programs spread across 4 pillars, namely 871 social pillars, 995 economic pillars, 584 environmental pillars, and 77 legal pillars and governance programs.
The TJSL PLN program has been received by more than 285,000 beneficiaries and helps 25,095 people get jobs or additional income spread throughout Indonesia.
This year, PLN contributed to Indonesia's development by implementing three priority programs, namely first, the biomass processing program into PLTU's mixed fuel which provides joint solutions in overcoming environmental problems such as waste, agricultural waste, wood and so on.
Second, the Electrifying Agriculture program, which is a program to increase productivity and efficiency of agricultural processing with the help of electricity technology in order to provide faster and optimal results for farmers.
Third, the Fly Ash & Bottom Ash (FABA) management program, which is a program to utilize PLTU operational products into building materials such as bricks, paving or road casting materials whose processing is carried out by cooperating with MSMEs so that they can move the wheels of the community's economy.
