BNPB Imbau Refugees Victims Of The Cianjur Earthquake Immediately Place Tenda Prepared By The Government
JAKARTA - The head of BNPB Lieutenant General TNI Suharyanto appealed to the refugees who were victims of the earthquake in Cianjur Regency to immediately occupy the refugee tents that have been provided by the government. "Today the refugees have received better facilities than yesterday. It is hoped that no one will live in a makeshift tent. It is hoped that they will sleep in a safe tent so that they are protected from rain," said Suharyanto in his statement, Wednesday, November 23. Currently, he continued, the distribution of logistics has been operated to the community. The Cianjur Regional General Hospital (RSUD), RS Sayare, is already operational. Last Monday, 100 patients (the earthquake victim) were sent to Hasan Sadikin Hospital in Bandung. "We have added tents in front of the hospital. The lack of tents continues to be added," he said. Suharyanto hopes that the search evacuation process will be completed. So that later the affected community will be given housing growth funds.
"For example, the affected residents who ride in their relatives' houses will be assisted by the government. Until the government builds their houses. After the emergency response, we start building houses that are heavily damaged. Everything is built by the government," he said. Previously, President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) said the government would bear the repair of earthquake victims' houses in Cianjur, West Java. Assistance will be given to those affected. This was conveyed by President Jokowi when he directly visited Cianjur Regency, West Java on Tuesday, November 22. He came to the area by road. "Those who (houses, red) were heavily damaged will be given assistance of Rp. 50 million, which is Rp. 25 million, and the light Rp. 10 million," Jokowi told reporters. The rehabilitated house must later be built with anti-earthquake standards. So, if this disaster does not occur again, it will not cause loss of life and material.
