Intending To Leave Twitter? Here's How To Download Data Archives On Your Twitter Account

JAKARTA - In the midst of the unclear Twitter policy after being successfully taken over by Elon Musk, not a few people chose to leave the platform.

Previously, VOI had summarized several alternative applications to replace Twitter if you wanted. However, before switching, it's a good idea to back up your data just in case.

In the case of Twitter, it means you need to download your data archives. The following is the tutorial on how to download your Twitter data archives.

You will receive an email, and notifications in the app when your archive is ready. Your download will include a file called "Your Articles" that lets you view your data in the desktop web browser.

You can also download archive information that can be read by machines related to your account in HTML and JSON files.

Twitter will include information they think is most relevant and useful to you, including profile information, Tweets, Direct Messages, Moments, Your media (images, videos, and GIFs that you attach to Tweets, Direct Messages, or Moments), lists of your followers, list of accounts you follow, your address books, Lists that you create, become members of or follow, demographic interests and information that we conclude about you, information about ads that you have seen or involved in Twitter, and others.
