Beyoncé's Son, Blue Ivy Carter, Won His First Nomination At The Grammy Awards
JAKARTA - Beyoncé and Jay-Z's son, Blue Ivy Carter received his first nomination at the Grammy Awards this year.
She received a nomination for her contribution to Beyoncé's Brown Skin Girl music video. Initially, his name was not registered when it was announced last November.
But on Friday, December 11, Ivy Carter's name appeared alongside Beyoncé and WizKID in the Best Music Video nominations. Meanwhile, Beyoncé's collaborator for the song Brown Skin Girl, SAINt JHN is not registered.
Brown Skin Girl competes with Harry Styles' Adore You, Anderson's Lockdown, Paak, Woodkid's Goliath, and Future and Drake's Life is Good.
This isn't the first time Ivy Carter has achieved such a big feat. Previously he received an award for the song Brown Skin Girl through the Soul Train Award and NCAAP Image.
Brown Skin Girl is one of the songs that appeared on the visual album Black Is King for Disney's The Lion King. When first released, Blue Ivy Carter won its first Billboard Hot 100.
Meanwhile, the top night of the Grammy Awards will be announced on January 31, 2021.
