2 Motorcycle Gangs Clash In Bandung That Kills One Person, 7 Moonraker Members Are Hunted
BANDUNG - Police are chasing seven members of a motorcycle gang suspected of abusing a teenager named Sanu Sundani (17). The persecution took place on Jalan Ir H Djuanda, Bandung City.
Kapolrestabes Bandung, Kombes Ulung Sampurna Jaya, said that the persecution started when two motorcycle gangs clashed with each other. Then one of the groups chases the group members.
"During this pursuit, some of the GBR groups were left behind and fell, so that the Moonraker group was persecuted," said Jaya at the Bandung Police, West Java, quoted by Antara, Monday, December 14.
He explained that the persecution took place on November 1, 2020. The police have arrested two motorcycle gang members who are suspected of being involved in the maltreatment with the initials MT (18) and RR (20).
Two people who have been arrested are subject to Article 80 Paragraph 3 Jo 36c of Law Number 35/2014 concerning Amendments to Law Number 23/2002 concerning Child Protection, and Article 170 paragraph 2 of the Criminal Code with a maximum penalty of 15 years in prison.
In addition, Kombes Jaya suspected that the other seven people had fled to other areas but were still in West Java. Therefore, he appealed to the perpetrators of the persecution to surrender before being picked up by the police.
The police also reminded the public, especially teenagers, not to hold unnecessary activities at night. Moreover, currently it is still in a pandemic situation COVID-19.
