Ready For Earthquake Victim Operation, PABOI Disseminates The 3rd Bone Surgeon Hospital In Cianjur
The Indonesian Association of Orthopedic Specialists and Traumatology (PABOI) dispatched dozens of doctors to help initial deal with earthquake victims in Cianjur Regency, West Java.
"We have coordinated with the Chairman of the West Java PABOI Dicky Mulyadi for handling victims of the Cianjur earthquake. Doctors will help identify patients, collect data on cases that occur, further flow and distribution mechanisms for patients," said PABOI President Prof Dr dr Ismail HD SPOT (K), in Jakarta, quoted from Antara, Tuesday, November 22.
The orthopedic doctors have been placed in three main hospitals (RS) handling victims affected by the Cianjur earthquake. The three are Sayang Hospital, Bayangkara Hospital, and Cimacan Hospital.
"We will conduct a First Health Assessment in the field of orthopedics for the initial handling of disaster victims," he said.
These efforts are to avoid the accumulation of patients in one hospital, so that there is no delay in handling disaster victims.
"The PABOI Central Manager in collaboration with PABOI West Java will start recording logistics needs, collecting data on nearby hospitals and deserves to be used as a referral place to carry out operational actions in orthopedic cases," he said.
Ismail said his party had also prepared and recorded a bone surgeon who could help perform surgery on disaster victims.
In its operations, Ismail said that his staff will continue to coordinate with related agencies, such as the Indonesian Doctors Association (IDI), the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB), the Ministry of Health, and the TNI-Polri.
PABOI has also sent Yogi Prabowo as the coordinator of BNPB PABOI to go directly to the affected areas.
Previously, an earthquake with a magnitude of 5.6 rocked Cianjur Regency on Monday, November 21, at 13.21 WIB.
