BPBD: 681 Damaged Houses In Sukabumi Due To The Cianjur Earthquake, The Worse In Sukalarang
JABAR - The number of houses damaged by the impact of the Cianjur earthquake in Sukabumi Regency, West Java reached 681 units. This figure is based on the latest data from the Sukabumi Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD).
"This data is still temporary, because we are still conducting assessments related to damage caused by the M 5.6 earthquake centered in Cianjur on Monday, November 21," said Sukabumi BPBD Emergency Sub-Coordinator, Medi Abdul Hakim, quoted from Antara, on Tuesday, November 22.
According to Medi, hundreds of damaged houses were spread across 19 sub-districts.
The most severe sub-districts are Sukalarang District with 179 houses damaged. Then, Kadudampit District as many as 154 units and Nagrak District there were 132 damaged units.
Meanwhile, the number of displaced residents was 58 families (KK) and 11 injured victims, with details of one moderate injury and 10 minor injuries.
The victim was injured when he was crushed by the rubble of the house building and all of them had received treatment from medical officers.
Meanwhile, there have been no reports of casualties so far. Not only houses were damaged, from the results of the data collection there were six damaged schools and 10 units of worship facilities such as mosques and prayer rooms.
In addition, earthquake vibrations also damaged road access in Gunungguruh District.
"We are still collecting data and it is possible that the number of damaged buildings will increase. The value of the loss is still being calculated," he said.
Medi said Sukalarang District was the worst affected area by the earthquake because it was directly adjacent to Cianjur Regency. His party also appealed to residents to remain vigilant and immediately report if in their area there were buildings affected by the earthquake even though they were only lightly damaged.
