Earthquake M 5.6 Guncang Cianjur, BMKG Asks To Be Alert

JAKARTA - An earthquake with a magnitude (M) of 5.6 occurred in Cianjur, West Java.

The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) reported that the earthquake occurred at 13.21 WIB on Monday, November 21.

"Magnitudo 5.6, 21 November 2022 13.21 WIB," citing Twitter @infoBMKG, Monday 21 November.

The epicenter of the earthquake was 10 kilometers southwest of Cianjur Regency, West Java.

BMKG ensures that the earthquake with a depth of 10 kilometers does not have the potential for a tsunami.

To residents, BMKG appealed to always be aware of aftershocks that could occur at any time.
