Mask Warehouse In Asemka Market Burned

JAKARTA - The mask sales warehouse located at Pasar Pagi, Jalan Asemka, Pinangsia, Tamansari, West Jakarta was burned to the ground. The fire grew and spread to 20 other kiosks in the market.

"The initial suspicion was that the fire was caused by an electrical short from the mask warehouse. The fire scorched 20 kiosks belonging to 5 traders," said Head of West Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept., Syafrudin when confirmed by VOI, Friday afternoon, November 18.

A total of 14 fire engines were dispatched to the fire site to extinguish the fire. The West Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept. deployed 70 officers.

"Currently the fire has been extinguished. The object that caught fire was a mask warehouse and a stationery warehouse," he said.

"Information from the fire residents came from the mask warehouse. Then it spread to other buildings," he said.
