Manchester United Removed Giant Poster Cristiano Ronaldo At Old Trafford

JAKARTA - The hot situation between Manchester United and Cristiano Ronaldo is still ongoing following the star's controversial interview with Piers Morgan. Red Devils have even reportedly removed the poster of the giant Portugal captain in front of Old Trafford Stadium.

Quoted from Sky Sport on Thursday, November 17, the poster removal video was shared by the Football Daily account. In the video, workers using cranes can be seen removing the poster which is an advertisement for Man United's sponsor, Adidas.

The poster at the front of Old Trafford Stadium is titled The Story of The Seven featuring former Man United active footballer and number 7.

In addition to the portrait of Cristiano Ronaldo, there is also the figure of Bryan Robson, Eric Cantona, and David Beckham on the poster.

A number of parties said that Manchester United's attitude of removing the poster was due to the aftermath of Ronaldo's controversial interview with Piers Morgan where Ronaldo was considered to have cornered the club.

On the same occasion, Ronaldo also mentioned Erik ten Hag. The Portuguese player said the coach did not respect him at Manchester United.

"I do not respect him (Ten Hag) because he did not show respect for me. If you do not respect me, I will never respect you," said Ronaldo.

In addition, Ronaldo also attacked former Man United coach Ralf Rangnick and former team-mate Wayne Rooney.

However, Sky Sports reported that Ronaldo's poster removal was not due to the hot situation. This was done because Old Trafford Stadium would make preparations to host the Rugby League World Cup final.

The Rugby League World Cup Final which competes in the men's and women's categories is scheduled to take place on Saturday, November 19.
