MV Mutia Cargo Ship Found After Missing In Maluku Waters, 13 Crews Stated Selamat
The joint SAR team managed to find the position of the cargo ship MV Mutia Ladjoni 7 which was reported to have lost contact in Aru waters, Maluku since Wednesday, November 9. The entire crew was declared safe.
"This cargo ship weighing 2,976 GT was found on Monday (14 November) at 18.50 WIT at the coordinates of 05 deg 40'0.20" S/136 deg 48'0.00" E," said Head of the Ambon Basarnas, Mustari, in Ambon, Maluku, quoted from Antara, Tuesday 15 November.
The cargo ship without cargo departed from Timika, Papua, with the aim of Bontang, East Kalimantan, since Wednesday, November 9. While planning to fill up fuel following the Port of Dobo, Maluku, MV Mutia Ladjoni 7 lost contact.
The current evacuation process has been carried out. The entire crew when are they safe. Only two people are sick.
The joint SAR team completed the evacuation and docked at Yos Sudarso Dobo Port on Tuesday, November 15, 2022, at 08.00 WIT.
On the same occasion, the Commander of the Police Ship KP XVI 3002 Teluk Ambon Polairud, Ipda Rein Tannewa, said the number of crew members when the cargo ship MV Mutia Ladjoni 7 was declared missing was 13 people.
They consist of Tri Sulfikar (the captain), Andika Ultra Indra (KKM), Stefanus Salabia (Mualim I), and Samsuddin (Mualim II), Isnomo (Masis II), Rustan (masis III), Wahyu Setiawan Ar (mudi champion), Andhika (couple leader) Rudi (oil champion), Muhammad Harun (kuni), Ignasio Alfret Yakelan (service), Sultan (machine head), and Pebryan (cadet deck).
Meanwhile, the two people who did not participate in the cruise were Muh Nur Ikhsan (mualim III) with Rafli Dwi Samudra (class).
"When we received the initial information, we immediately responded by reporting to the Director of Polairud of the Maluku Police, Kombespol Harun Rosyid, and immediately ordered the personnel of the Maluku Police who served in the Dobo Region to immediately coordinate with the relevant agencies and the Basarnas Dobo unit to conduct a search," he said.
