Carry Out A PLTU Asset Transfer Potential Study, PLN Gandeng Sumitomo
JAKARTA - PT PLN (Persero) and Sumitomo Corporation have collaborated to conduct joint studies regarding the potential transfer of PLTU assets and the development of renewable new energy plants (EBT). The cooperation was stated in the Principals Agreement signed by PLN President Director Darmawan Prasodjo and Sumitomo Corporation CEO Masayuki Hyodo and witnessed by the Presidential Chief of Staff Moeldoko and Japanese Ambassador Kenji Kanasugi in the G20 Summit series in Nusa Two, Bali, Sunday 13 November. PLN President Director Darmawan Prasodjo said PLN's cooperation with Sumitomo is a form of collaboration for the new era. This collaboration leads to a study for PLTU's early retention by exchanging, developing, operating, operating and selling electricity and investing in the green industry. "This collaboration shows the world, if previously the energy transition strategy seemed fragmented, then today the way is to collaborate," explained Darmawan. in an official statement, Monday, November 14. According to him, the presence of an EBT plant can replace the role of fossil plants currently operating, so that it can increase the clean energy mix. "We know, we have to change too. We will not be able to bear this burden alone. The only way to progress is through collaboration. He is optimistic, the cooperation between PLN and Sumitomo is a proactive step that can support reduction CO2 emissions. "We are optimistic that this agenda gives hope to the community and many stakeholders in Indonesia," he added. Present on the same occasion, Presidential Chief of Staff, Moeldoko said the collaboration between PLN and Sumitomo is a form of joint commitment to reduce carbon emissions. "This collaboration needs to be built in a greater context to build stronger relations with Indonesia," concluded Moeldoko.
