This Is Argentina's Squad At Qatar's 2022 World Cup: Lionel Messi Will Show For The Fifth Time

Paris Saint-Germain superstar Lionel Messi will play in the World Cup finals for his fifth after he is included in the Argentina squad coming to Qatar this month.

Argentine national team coach Lionel Scaloni combined the 35-year-old veteran with five stars who played in the English Premier League. Included in the squad was former Real Madrid player Angel in Maria (34 years).

The five players from the Premier League who Scaloni brought in were Aston Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez, Tottenham Christian Romero, Manchester United's Leandro Martinez, Manchester City's young player Julian Alvarez, and Brighton midfielder Alexis Mac Allister.

Unfortunately, Scaloni did not include the name of Manchester United's young Manchester United player Alejandro Garnacho. In fact, the 18-year-old player has performed well with the Red Devils since being summoned to the first senior squad in March.

US striker Roma Paulo Dybala, 28, is also included in the group that will fly to Qatar. The former Juventus player has been certified although not fit due to a thigh injury and has not played since October 9.

However, Dybala's summons makes quite a sense to see his performance with Roma before getting injured. He has scored in five consecutive games.

La Albiceleste is one of the favorite teams to win this year's World Cup. The reason is, the team that won last year's Copa America title currently holds a record that has not been lost in 35 matches.

Scaloni's men will pursue their third title at the 2022 World Cup after last winning the trophy in 1986. They became runners-up twice after that, respectively in 1990 and 2014.

Messi and his friends will have their first Group C match against Saudi Arabia on 22 November. After that they will face Poland and Mexico.
