City Government Asks Victims To Report If They Are Fraud Catut The Name Of The Mayor Of Tanjung Pinang

Head of the Protocol and Communications Section of the Tanjung Pinang City Government, Bobby Wira Satria, said that the fraud on behalf of the Mayor of Tanjung Pinang, Rahma, had just been revealed this morning.Modup of fraud by asking residents for help in the form of money.
"There were a number of residents who contacted us asking for clarification after receiving a message from the WhatsApp number. The WhatsApp number uses a profile photo of the Mayor," he said in Tanjung Pinang, Riau Islands, Wednesday, November 9.
Bobby emphasized that the WhatsApp number used did not belong to Rahma. Rahma's photo was taken on Google, then used as a WhatsApp profile photo to convince the victim.
"The fraud attempt has become clear. We have not received any information whether there have been victims who have suffered material losses or not," he said.
The Tanjung Pinang City Government ranks disseminated the WhatsApp number to the RT level to prevent victims of fraud. A number of RTs also spread the information to their citizens through WhatsApp groups.
"We are coordinating with various parties to detect and identify the perpetrators of these cyber crimes," he said.
Bobby emphasized that his party would continue the problem legally if there were victims who were harmed by the fraud.
He appealed to residents to inform him if he became a victim of the fraud. "Yes, a legal route must be taken to protect residents if there are victims," he said.
