Cianjur Dark Gulita Cidaun, Electricity Still Dead Since Yesterday's Rain Yesterday
WEST JAVA - Heavy rain accompanied by strong winds has caused the electricity network in the south of Cianjur to be precise in Cidaun District to break since Saturday, November 5. Until now, PT PLN UP3 Cianjur is still carrying out the repair process.
PLN UP3 Cianjur manager, Muhammad Hermansyah said, until Sunday, November 6 evening, PLN was still trying to normalize the flow which had to be temporarily cut off because several villages were flooded. When the incident occurred, the power pole was also reported to have fallen.
"The electricity flow has been disrupted since Saturday night and several points have been deliberately extinguished due to a broken aerial cable. These efforts are to make it easier for volunteers and joint officers to evacuate residents affected by the flood," he said in Cianjur, West Java (West Java), quoted from Antara, Sunday, November 6.
Hermansyah said dozens of operational officers had been deployed to restore the electricity network. However, it is recorded that of the 35 substations affected by extreme weather, all of them are still not operational for the safety of residents.
He explained that a total of 5,505 units of customers were affected. Even now, he said, it is still being sought to normalize because most areas of Cidaun District have been raining again.
"We are trying to coordinate with the authorities and the local government for the process of normalizing the flow of electricity. The rain that has fallen again makes it difficult for us to penetrate the location of the fallen pole or repair of the broken aerial cable," he said.
His party appealed to residents in the affected areas to always be aware of the dangers of electricity in the rainy and flood season by turning off electrical installations at home, removing all electronic equipment from the contact stop, and if the electricity caused by water is not extinguished, they can report through the New PLN Mobile application.
