Appear Unloaded In The Hylo Open 2022 Final, Rehan/Lisa: Enjoy Games

JAKARTA - Indonesian mixed doubles Rehan Naufal Kusharjanto/Lisa Ayu Kusumawati want to appear burdenless when facing Chinese pair Feng Yan Zhe/Huang Dong Ping in the Hylo Open 2022 final at Saarlandhalle, Saarbr Chacken, Germany, Sunday.

Rehan/Lisa swung steps to the top party of the Super 300 level tournament after eliminating the second seed from France Thom Gicquel/Delta Delrue 21-23, 21-14, 21-7.

"Tomorrow (today, red) is the final against China, we will play without a burden. We will enjoy the game more. Tomorrow the opponent is also not easy," said Lisa, quoted by Antara, Sunday.

"We want to just let go. Don't think about winning or losing. We also want to enjoy the match and go all out," said Rehan.

Rehan/Lisa had to go through a tough three-game fight for an hour against Thom Gicquel/Delta Delrue in the semifinals. The world number 26 pair lost the first game even though match point first.

Rehan admitted that he played in a hurry during critical points so that many made their own mistakes which made the opponent easily steal points to win the first game.

In the first game I played less patiently. Want to immediately kill the attack. Even though the real opponent can also die alone. But in the second game, we played more calmly. We played not in a hurry," said Rehan.

In the third game, the opponent can no longer get out of our pressure. So I and Lisa continue to press the opponent," he said.

The Hylo Open 2022 final marks the restoration of Rehan/Lisa, which previously failed to represent Indonesia in the top match of the French Open 2022 last week after losing to Dutch representatives Robin Tableing/Selena Piek in the semifinals.

The final will also be an opportunity for Rehan/Lisa to win their first title in the BWF super series tournament since they debuted at the senior level in 2021.
