Ahead Of The G20 Summit In Bali, The Ministry Of Transportation Issued A Circular Of Operational Regulations For I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport Aviation
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) through the Directorate General of Civil Aviation has issued Circular Letter (SE) Number 12 of 2022 concerning Aviation Operational Regulations During the Implementation of the Indonesian G20 Presidency Summit at I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport, Bali. This SE was issued on November 3.
"This circular aims to ensure that flight arrangements from arrival to departure run safely, orderly, smoothly, and minimize the impact of disruption to flight services during a series of activities for the G20 Indonesia Presidency Summit," explained Acting Director General of Civil Aviation Nur Isnin Istiartono in Jakarta, Saturday, November 5.
Nur Isnin said that his party had instructed all levels of the Ministry of Transportation, including the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, to collaborate well with various parties to ensure the readiness for flight from or to I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, Bali.
"(All ranks) are asked to pay attention to the allocation of the availability of flight facilities and infrastructure to ensure the fulfillment of aspects of flight safety, safety, and smoothness," he said.
The operational arrangements for aircraft during the G20 Indonesia Presidency Summit will be carried out from 12-18 November 2022 at I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport.
There are several provisions, namely operating hours are set for 24 hours and commercial flights are prohibited from parking for stay (Remain Over Night/RON).
"There are also restrictions on flight operations (limited operation) at I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport for regular flights from November 13-17, 2022." added Nur Isnin.
The limited operation pattern is known to provide space for handling VVIP in accordance with regulatory provisions, but still ensures the need for regular flights with a certain or limited number of movements.
During the G20 Presidency Summit, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation hopes that all flight operators will actively provide information to the public as users of air transportation services related to the dynamics of flight operations.
"So that people who will travel from and to Bali can adjust their travel plans early so they don't experience obstacles." said Nur Isnin.
For information, the Ministry of Transportation has also collaborated with a number of related ministries or institutions. Among them are the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Finance, including Customs, Immigration and Quarantine (CIQ), the TNI, the Strategic Intelligence Agency (BAIS), the Bali Police, the Bali Regional Government, AirNav Indonesia, Angkasa Pura 1, Angkasa Pura 2, Ground Handling, and other aviation stakeholders.
