Police Check Readiness of Electric Vehicles for Security G20 Bali Summit
BADUNG - The Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police, Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo, checked the readiness of electric motorcycles and cars in the context of securing the G20 High-Level Conference (KTT) event on 15-16 November 2022 in Nusa Dua, Bali.
Dedi Prasetyo inspects electric vehicles at Lotte Wholesale Bali, Jalan Bypass Ngurah Rai, Denpasar, Thursday, November 3, said the use of motorcycles and electric cars during the G20 Summit was more efficient and environmentally friendly, and reduced noise and air pollution during its implementation.
"The use of electric vehicles can reduce carbon emissions and become an environmentally friendly solution in energy use", he said, Thursday, November 3.
It is planned that the number of vehicles that will be used at the peak of the G20 Summit will be 88 four-wheeled vehicles, but all of those used for escort is 82.
"For two-wheeled vehicles, there are 92. All of these are used to escort delegates attending the G20 Summit", he said.
Inspector General Dedi stated that regarding technical use, the Korlantas Polri has carried out theoretical training on the introduction of both cars and motorcycles.
In addition, the National Police will carry out field introductions regarding vehicles, both cars, and motorbikes, so that the personnel on duty will understand what they are using during the G20 Summit.
The activity of checking electric vehicles in the context of securing the G20 Summit was also attended by the main officials of the National Police Headquarters, the Head of the Bali Police Headquarters, as well as Polri personnel involved in the 2022 Puri Agung Operation to secure the G20 Summit.
