A Week Of TC's Road In Jogja, Borneo FC Confirms The Test Match Against Joint League 1 Clubs

JAKARTA - Borneo FC finally confirmed the first trial match after a week of training camp (TC) in Yogyakarta which is planned to fight fellow League 1 teams.

Borneo FC Assistant Manager Farid Abubakar said he had received answers from potential opponents for the test match.

"We just got an answer about our desire for the first trial during TC in Yogya. God willing, the opponent will be League 1 team. But we will confirm later," he said, quoted from Antara, Thursday.

Farid has not yet named the club, considering that there is also no certainty about the date and stadium to be used for the test match later.

According to him, the trial was carried out on the wishes of the coach, Andre Gaspar, who aims to evaluate the results of the week-long training in Gudeg City.

Moreover, Gaspar has never stood on the side of the field seeing his team play because his status is indeed a new coach.

"The coach wants to get the right evaluation against the team at the same level. So, we facilitate it and God willing, we will get the opponent," said Farid.

The trial, said Farid, was also very good for players to understand what scheme the coach wanted to implement in the match.

As is known, Andre Gaspar was supposed to make his debut at Borneo FC on October 1 when Pesut Etam won over Madura United 3-0 at the Segiri Stadium, Samarinda.

However, Gaspar's work letter had not yet been issued, so his position was occupied by the assistant coach, Miftahuddin Mukson.

That is why the trial will be the inaugural match for the Brazilian coach even though the label is only a trial.
