Komnas HAM Forms A Team To Investigate The Shooting Of Special Troops For FPI, Polri: We Are Transparent
JAKARTA - The National Police Headquarters does not question the steps of the National Human Rights Commission (Komnas HAM) to form an investigation team to explore various information about the shooting incident that killed six special troops from the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI).
Karo Penmas of the National Police's Public Relations Division, Brigadier General Awi Setiyono, said that the existence of a team formed by the National Human Rights Commission would actually help oversight from the external side.
"Yes, it's okay, it is a form of external supervision, later we will help, regarding what data is needed," Awi told reporters, Tuesday, December 8.
Apart from that, in the handling of this case there was also supervision from the internal police, namely the Propam Division. In fact, Awi said, in the process of investigating this case, nothing was covered up.
"So far, we have been transparent, OK, then go ahead. We also have an internal audit inside," he said.
Previously it was reported, Komnas HAM formed a team to investigate various information related to the shooting incident that killed six special forces for the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) on the Cikampek Toll Road, Monday, December 7 this morning.
"Komnas HAM through monitoring and investigation has created a team. Currently (the team, red) is exploring information to deepen various information circulating in the public," Komnas HAM Commissioner for Monitoring and Investigation Choirul Anam told reporters on Monday. , 7 December.
Later, this team will explore information and gather facts from all parties directly related to the incident. Including, digging direct information from the FPI.
To accelerate and strengthen the events that occurred, Choirul then asked all parties to cooperate and be open.
"We also convey this hope to the police," he said.
"This initial process, the team has received some information directly and is deepening it," he added.
